The British Homeopathic Association received a crushing blow after Lothian Health Board made the decision to stop funding homeopathy. A judicial review judged homeopathic services as a waste of public money.
“It is plain that the Board, as it was entitled to do, accepted the view that there was no scientific evidence for the efficacy of homeopathy and that funding for it (homeopathy) was a waste of funds.
The Judgement on withdrawing funding for homeopathy went on to say “… to continue spending money on a service whose efficacy was not established, would have been unreasonable.”
